Beáta Kincsesné Vajda successfully defended her PhD dissertation on 10th December, 2013.

The habilitation lecture of Dr. Beata Farkas was held on 5th December 2013.

After the highly successful Mediterranean and Western Europe Evenings, some well-experienced students introduced us Central and Eastern Europe.

SZTE is still the best university in Hungary outside the capital city, Budapest.

On 29th October Hungarian and foreign students had the opportunity to meet the students who have experienced the Erasmus program in Italy or Spain as exchange students.

Hungarian and foreign students had the opportunity to meet each other at the Erasmus Evening.

On 28th September the mentors and the mentored of the „Let’s go to University!” programme, together with the foreign students studying at the Faculty of Economics had the chance to participate in a trip to Ópusztaszer.

József Kárpáti successfully defended his PhD dissertation on 9th September, 2013.

The enrollment took place in the Faculty’s main building between 27th and 29th of August.

On the 2nd of July, 2013 a new event ha started in the hall of GTK, which consists of four events.

The opening hours have been changed due to summer season.

The second event of Ecopol Economic Evenings was hold on April 17th where Dr. Beáta Farkas the associate professor of the University of Szeged Faculty of Economy and Business Administration performed an excellent presentation in the topic of ’crisis management in the EU’s cohesion countries’.

Szeged, March 12th 2013: The Entrepreneur Club of Szeged, held a meeting where Peter Halácsy, the co-founder and CTO of Prezi.com was invited as chief guest. The meeting was precided at Szent-Albert Gyorgyi Agora hall with more than 200 people to witness the story of Prezi.

 

In the second semester of the 2012/2013 school year, the University of Szeged, Faculty of Economy and Business Administration, and the Szeged’s Youth Organisation of Hungarian Economic Association had started a session which has the name of „Ecopol Economic Evenings”. Within that there are three events, with three different topics, however all of them is connected to macroeconomics and/or macrofinances.

The University of Szeged won an outstanding award called ‘University of National Excellence’.

 

In the award function held on 1st of March, 2013 at Ceremonial Hall of the Faculty of Economics some students of the University were able to take their prizes, who have successfully completed the Electronic Financial IQ test.

 

A graduation ceremony was held on Friday 25 January, 2013 for graduates in Business Administration and Management BA, Commerce and Marketing BA and Finances and Accounting BA.

 

The preparatory course starts on 18.02.2013.
