Workshop at the Faculty of Economics

The workshop entitled „Methodological challenges in the examination of social and economic processes” took place in Szeged on 4th February 2014.

The conference was organized by the Department of Statistics and Demography, Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Law, University of Szeged, together with the Department of Economics and Statistics, Eötvös Lóránd University, Budapest.

Studying social and economic problems requires complex approaches, calling for research units where it is possible to carry out interdisciplinary research. At the Department of Statistics and Demography, Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Law, University of Szeged, and at the Department of Economics and Statistics, Eötvös Lóránd University, Budapest, lawyers, economists and mathematicians work together, also reflected in the carefully designed courses and in the diversity of research areas. The main aim of the conference organized by the two departments is to present this diversity, and to continue professional discourse.
