As it is known, since 2003 the University of Szeged (SZTE) has taken an excellent place in the academic ranking: this year our institution was ranked 303th - 401st among the best universities of the world. Beside the University of Szeged, there was only one Hungarian higher education institution among the 500 leading ones of the world at that time, namely the Eötvös Lóránd University (ELTE) in Budapest.
